iMatter Colorado March

Colorado youth gathered in Denver for the iMatter March on May 14th, taking to the streets to make their voices heard on the climate crisis.

Brandishing banners, signs and flags, thousands converged on Denver for the iMatter March on May 14th. Cold rainy weather was no match for the determined crowd, whose chants and cheers echoed throughout the city and turned heads. Students came from across the state to join in the march, bringing with them their own costumes, banners, and music. Onlookers joined the demonstration as it proceeded through downtown to Civic Center Park across from the State Capitol.
Calling on state and national leaders to “live, lead and govern as if our future matters”, the marchers were joined by the 16 year old founder of the iMatter Movement Alec Loorz, actress & activist Daryl Hannah, Congressman Jared Polis, and countless others.

The rest of the rally featured speakers, performers, and entertainers, all delivering a strong and clear message: we will hold our leaders and society accountable for the world they are leaving us! We all deserve a healthy planet, one that’s worth inheriting.
